This quote means that you can get to where you want to go or achieve what you want by focusing yourself only on that specific thing. There are ways to get there by doing less, but in order for that to happen you must be focused. This could apply to life in many ways, one being school. Those who focus and provide all their time and energy on their education will eventually later in life have to work and do less than those who spend their time ignoring education priorities. You can get more out of your work if you focus on only one thing and attempt to do that one thing perfectly. Later in life you will appreciate that.
